APPLEWOOD QUALITY BUILDERS was established in 1984 by Tom and Susan Yang.  (Click here to view/download a .pdf of Tom Yang's resume.)

We specialize in quality concrete work such as concrete driveways, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, basement floors and concrete structural repair.

Applewood Quality Builders also does colored and patterned stamp concrete.

We work with structural engineers to do structural repair work and have completed many structural repair projects since our business was established, including surface drainage work.

We have all the equipment to do all the excavation, preparation, forming and pouring of any type of concrete-related work.

Our History

When we first started in the construction business, we did general construction on new residential houses and remodeling for commercial and residential projects, roofing and concrete work. We have been working in these areas of remodeling since we started.

In 1993 Applewood Quality Builders worked with Lamar Advertising and Viacom Outdoor Advertising installing RTD bus shelters and bus benches in metro Denver. The work we did involved helping Lamar obtain buildings permits for bus shelters and bus benches in various cities, including the city of Loveland.

After we obtained the building permits, Applewood Quality Builders did the excavation, preparation and the concrete pour for the concrete pads. Some of the pads had handicap ramps and concrete curbs to meet ADA requirements. We poured all the concrete to meet all city and state specifications. After the concrete work, we picked up and installed prefabricated shelters with our specially designed and custom-made crane truck. After the installation of the shelters, Lamar performs maintenance of the shelters. In 2001, we started to do the same type of work for Viacom Outdoor Advertising Company.

At the beginning of 1999, Applewood Quality Builders made a decision to minimize all roofing type of work. In year 2000 we decided not to do any general construction work for new customers,  However, we still do all the general construction for our own projects. Our most recent major remodeling was the work at Golden Bowl Bowling Center completed in 2006.  Golden Bowl is one of the 2007 Golden Ethics Nominees in Business Award.

With the general concrete work and the Lamar, Viacom bus shelters, Applewood Quality Builders is busy throughout the year.
